Hair Crisis

So! I have been so into hair products lately. Ive been on YouTube like a crazy person searching for the perfect tools to keep my @sassymitchellhair in its tip top shape. I have to say, I absolutely adore this hair. I get compliments ALL THE TIME. It is the best hair I have EVER bought in my life and is worth EVERY penny! I actually bleached/dyed this hair maybe a month ago. Its not as luscious as it used to be. I need to REVIVE it! Get it back to its lively, gorgeous mane state.

This is a before dying pic! It was fuller, thicker, and the curl pattern is in its natural state.

This is after the bleaching massacre! It feels dried out, not as long, and I cant even get it to go back to its natural curling pattern :(

I only have had color in my hair once in my whole lifetime, so all of this is new to me.I dont know what products are the best to use on color-treated hair, on weave and my natural hair...UGH! It can be pretty frustrating actually. I think I found what ive been searching for. Organix hair care products???? Its a new line of hair products, well, new to me. They have many different types but im leaning more towards Macademia Oil and Brazilian Keratin. Any other suggestions????

Not only is my weave experiencing a breakdown, my natural hair is DYINNNNNNG =( helppppppppppp

Im going to purchase another bundle or two of hair but I need to get this together first.

My best friend

I would like to thank my best friend, Ashley Symone Deweever, for all that she do. I call her Allie. We have been friends for 11 years and I know that we will continue to be friends for L I F E. She is my sister. She is available to talk whenever I need to . I know if I ever need anything she would be right there for me.  I L O V E this woman. Words cannot express how much we have been through together. From the age of 10/11, to 22 she has remained loyal. I can’t wait to get married and have children just so I can name her my maid of honor and Godmother of my kids. She brings positive, friendly, loving energy to my life and that’s everything a best friend should do.

Our favorite movie of all time is Bring It On. We can recite the whole movie in a heartbeat

Cheering at ARMS together. She was only in it for the skirt, oh and to see Rashaad White. Haaaaaaa! That was her ex back in the 5 th grade ! lol

Dont let me get started on Mrs. Davis class. Lord knows that lady use to make us listen to that S A M E song E V E R Y , S I N G L E day. Brown Skin by India Arie. And I wont forget Vance being the teachers pet! He always got to run the errands.

Scream Tour 2 and Scream Tour 3 concerts starring B2K and Lil’ Bow Wow!!!! F.Y.I. BOW WOW is the best rapper alive, says me. I can’t believe she let me wear those black jeans with the sparkly gold stars. How embarrassing! In middle school, we were the ultimate nerds, but I must say Allie would pick up way more guys than me. I looked up to her. She was a whole 3 months older than I.

Getting dropped off at AMC 24.  Blind dates with Zay, Pookie, and those Golden Glide guys. (Jerry was it?) Decatur Family Skating Rink (teen edition) We were so cool, I must say. LOL

Master Plans:: going to the pool to see Ryan and Justin, sneaking out to see Brent, talking to Big Red and DJ whoever to get the hookup, singing at local restaurants, changing into hoochie mama clothes when we left the house, black lipliner, acting like each other on the phone, setting up double dates with losers just for good food and a fun time, Coronas with grenadine, skinnydipping, going to random studios, sneaking glasses of wine, sharing shoes, bootlegging weaves, etc, etc, etc..

Lawd!

Past relationships - No details needed. Just know that men are D O G S !

I don't have anyone else that I can trust with my deepest fears, most sacred secrets, and weirdest thoughts.

She knows everything about me. The good, the bad, the ugly

I guess what I am trying to say is, i love you.

School Pride

Georgia Southern University is the best university E V E R! I have been a full-time undergrad student at GSU for 3 years now. I have had many positive experiences at GSU! I have met forever friends and found independence. I now know what I am passionate about and what I want to do with my life in the future. I aspire to be a nurse practicioner.

GSU has plenty of organizations open for students to join. No matter one's race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or age there is a place for EVERYONE. You do not feel alone at GSU. Personally, ONE of the organizations i am involved with is a community service sorority. It is a diverse sorority with members from MANY different walks of life. I didn't have that experience when I was in high school. We all share the common goal of just wanting to provide service to the university, community, and other areas of the country. I used to only be friends with those who were like me. Coming to GSU changed that.. and I am HAPPY that it did!I have a lot in common with people who seemed they would be completely opposite from who I am. I must say these experiences have actually molded me into who I am today. GSU helped me find myself. I have adopted values and obtained skills that I couldn't imagine getting at any other university. I can work with and love people who are DIFFERENT than I am and being a nurse that is extremely important.

My forever friends are AWESOME! Coming into college, you DONT have friends. I didn't know anyone. My roommate, Nikeya, turned out to be one of my forever friends. I know that we will continue our friendship beyond college years. Another friend that is on the forever friends list is Gabrielle. I         L O V E her from the bottom of my HEART! She has been my friend since Freshman year and through social and academic changes, parties, stressful assignments, bad relationships, our friendship has SUSTAINED! FOREVER FRIENDS are important to me. I hate to think that if I never came to Southern I would have never met the two people that I mentioned above. Sure I have friends from back home, but these girls HAVE been in my shoes. They know the ropes of GSU and how it is to be a student HERE. I have gained patience and understanding which will be useful in forming long-lasting relationships with people or patients in the future. I REALLY DO LOVE THEM :)

Enough of the SAPPY stuff: *wipes away tear*

Im a woman now. I have gained my INDEPENDENCE. I can thank GSU for that. I know the type of student that I am and the type of person that I am, in general. I am not afraid to go out into the REAL WORLD. I am well-prepared. Professors have given me the tools to succeed. GSU has given me the idea that YOU CAN BEAT THE ODDS and DO ANYTHING you want in life, and I am looking forward to being in the healthcare field and becoming a nurse.
